The University of Nottingham Magic Society proudly present the annual gala show, with a twist!
This year, the show will be produced and performed entirely by members of the society!
For only £5 come along for an evening of Magic and Mind-Reading!

The show will open with our President, Constantine’s stage act followed by Alec Bishop sharing a classic of magic with us. The first half of the show finishes with Past-President Samuel Leworthy’s new stage act.

This will be followed by an interval when you can stretch you legs and if you wish you can see close-up magic performed by other members of the society!

The second half will be opened by our Secretary, Robert Soane with an act of Sleight of Mind, followed by the finale, Andy Dean, last years president, presenting some miracles of his own!

Tickets will cost £5 if bought in advance, or £6 on the door.

Blackpool

Blackpool signups are now closed!

The Blackpool Magic Convention is the worlds largest annual magic event, and one of the best magic conventions in the UK, with 3,500 magicians of every level. It is an amazing experience for beginners and experts alike and we would really recommend it.  There are loads of magic dealers selling their products, and more magic lectures than there is physically time to see!

Every year the society organise a trip to the convention for members.  The comittee are deep in planning this years trip.  The convention runs from 16th-18th of February.  We will leave campus on the Friday morning and return on Sunday evening.

The total price for the trip is approx £210, however the comittee are trying to work out a subsidy so hopefully it will be cheaper!!  This £210 includes tickets to the convention, travel and accommodation.  It would still be worth bringing some spending money to buy from the dealers, and money for food.

The deadline to sign up, and paying the initial £100 deposit is 30th November.  Please tell Chee Wai by then if you’d like to come.  This is also the date of our next guest lecture, by Tom Elderfield, so make sure not to miss this!

To find out more come to the sessions and chat with any of the committee or just message us.

If you’re a non-member and a non-university member and would like to come along, just drop us a message and we’ll make sure you get to the right place!
